Book Review - Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia
Hey guys! I just finished this book and I really wanted to talk about it! Parts of it were very relatable for me. I really loved the fandom aspect of it.
Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
Age Range: 16+ (It deals with some more serious topics)
Synopsis:
Her story is a phenomenon. Her life is a disaster.
In the real world, Eliza Mirk is shy, weird, and friendless. Online, she’s LadyConstellation, the anonymous creator of the wildly popular webcomic Monstrous Sea. Eliza can’t imagine enjoying the real world as much as she loves the online one, and she has no desire to try.
Then Wallace Warland, Monstrous Sea’s biggest fanfiction writer, transfers to her school. Wallace thinks Eliza is just another fan, and as he draws her out of her shell, she begins to wonder if a life offline might be worthwhile.
WARNING: I didn't include the last paragraph of the synopsis given on Goodreads and the dust jacket of the book. In my opinion it is very spoilery, so if you don't want spoilers, don't read the last paragraph of that synopsis.

Top 5 Wednesday - Fictional Jobs You'd Want To Have
Hey guys! Today I am doing a Top 5 Wednesday post. Top 5 Wednesday is a group on Goodreads (the link is: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/118368-top-5-wednesday). Each Wednesday they have a new topic, and this Wednesday it is Top 5 Fictional Jobs You'd Want To Have. So here are my top 5!
Number 5:
MONSTER'S, INC. EMPLOYEE - Monster's Inc. seems like such a cool place to work! It seems like the people that work there are admired by the community as they are providing them with power. Also, there is a good amount of competition between the employees to keep you motivated to work.
Number 4:
OWNER OF WILLY WONKA'S CHOCOLATE FACTORY - I mean, come on, it's CHOCOLATE! Do I need to say more??
Number 3:
DIRECTOR AT CAMP HALF-BLOOD - Getting to hang out with demigods all day sounds pretty awesome! Let's just hope the magical protective barrier keeps working!
Number 2:
CREATOR FOR LE CIRQUE DES REVES - Working for The Circus of Dreams (from The Night Circus) just seems so magical! I would want a job where I could sit back and watch the show, though!
Number 1:
HOGWARTS PROFESSOR: Who wouldn't want to go to Hogwarts? I would probably want to teach potions, just because that sounds really cool! Let's just hope I don't get stuck teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts!
Thank you so much for reading this post! Let me know what fictional jobs you would like to have! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Book Review - A Series of Unfortunate Events books 7 - 13 by Lemony Snicket
Hey guys! I finally finished A Series of Unfortunate Events! This series was so fun to read!
Overall: Book 11 was the only book in the series I didn't give 5 out of 5 stars. I gave book 11 4.5 out of 5 stars mainly because I got a little bored reading it compared to the others.
Age Range: 9 and up
My Ranking (favorite to least favorite):
The Slippery Slope (book 10)
The Penultimate Peril (book 12)
The End (book 13)
The Vile Village (book 7)
The Hostile Hospital (book 8)
The Carnivorous Carnival (book 9)
The Grim Grotto (book 11)
Synopsis: This series follows three orphans (Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire) as they experience many unfortunate, a word which here means not very fun, events. Violet likes to invent, Klaus likes to read, and Sunny likes to bite things. They use these skills to get them out of a lot of sticky situations.
Favorite Quote:
“As I'm sure you know, a good night's sleep helps you perform well in school, and so if you are a student you should always get a good night's sleep unless you have come to the good part of your book, and then you should stay up all night and let your schoolwork fall by the wayside, a phrase which here means 'flunk.' " (from book 5 The Austere Academy)
