Synopsis: This duology is about a girl named Etta who finds out she comes from a family of time travelers. An evil family named the Ironwoods are looking for a powerful object they believe only Etta can find. We follow Etta as she teams up with others to find this object.
Characters: There were so many new characters introduced in this book! I really enjoyed getting to know Sophia and Li Min. I also liked Henry Hemlock a lot! He was probably my favorite character in this duology. Also, the romance is toned down from the last book! Yay!
Plot: More happened in this book than in Passenger, which I really appreciated. There were still parts that dragged a bit, but again the ending was amazing! The world gets expanded a lot and it was done very well. This isn't a super quick read, but the ending is worth it.
Spoiler Section: My favorite scene was when Etta got to play her violin for the tzar of Russia as well as her dad. I loved the section where we were in that time period (until they got blown up, of course). I really liked Etta's dad as soon as we meet him. It also just made me really happy whenever Etta got to play the violin. I also really liked how they all got back together at the end.
