Top 5 Of The Year So Far!

Hey guys! Sorry it has been so long since my last post!! I have been reading a lot, though. Since the beginning of January I have read 35 books. So for today I thought I would share with you my top 5 favorite books of the year so far.

Just so you know, these are not in any particular order.

5. Miracles from Heaven: A Little Girl and Her Amazing Story of Healing by Christy Wilson Beam (goodreads link)

I found this to be super sweet and very inspiring true story. I also watched the movie that follows this same story and it was amazing.

4. Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller (goodreads link)

This book was really fun to read! It follows a pirate named Alosa. She allows herself to be captured by enemy pirates in order to steal a special map from their ship. Alosa was a super cool character to read about. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this for younger readers, but if you are a little more mature I think you would enjoy it!

3. The Valiant by Lesley Livingston (goodreads link)

This is an awesome historical fiction novel following female gladiators. The main character is a Celtic princess named Fallon. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book. I found myself very attached to a lot of the characters. Again, this is one I wouldn't recommend for younger readers as one scene gets a bit gory. I found the book to be very enjoyable, though.

2. The Slippery Slope by Lemony Snicket (goodreads link)

A Series of Unfortunate Events was so fun to read. This was by far my favorite in that series.

1. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay by J. K. Rowling (goodreads link)

I know this isn't really a "book" but I wanted to include it because it was just so magical and fun! The movie was great, too. If you liked Harry Potter you should definitely read/watch this. Newt Scamander is just the most precious thing ever.

Thanks for reading this! Let me know some of your favorite books that you've read recently! I hope you have a great day!
